In July 2009, we were contracted by Lancaster City Council to carry out external refurbishments to 65 tenanted council properties. This included full project and site management, and involved replacement windows, fascias, soffits, gutters and downspouts, knocking off and re-dashing property elevations and outbuildings. The project was also registered with Considerate Contractors, from whom we received excellent feedback.
VMC prides itself on delivering high standards of customer care on our social housing projects. We employ non-working Site Managers who are responsible for all tenant communication. With over 20 years’ experience, landlords can be assured that VMC will deliver an efficient service and high quality of work.
As a smaller organisation, we have the advantage of being flexible and responsive to the landlord’s needs. Whilst we have our proven processes and procedures, we will work with landlords to develop a way of working which suits them rather than us.
VMC is also committed to contributing to community regeneration by supporting local initiatives which deliver benefits to the local community in which we are working. On our recent social housing project, some of the initiatives we have been involved in included installing goalposts on the local community sports field and supporting the tenant’s annual ‘Best Dressed Christmas Window’ completion with prizes and judging.
